Frederico G. Jayme Jr
I am a Full Professor at Cedeplar, the Federal University of Minas Gerais UFMG), Brazil, having been Chair of the Economics Department, Director of the Postgraduate Program in Economics, and Director of Cedeplar (Center for Regional Development and Planning) at UFMG. I am also Fellow Researcher at the National Council research in Brazil (Cnpq), and a member of the Economics Advisory Committee of Cnpq between 2021 and 2024. Member of the Editorial Committee of Revista Nova Economia. Between 2004 and 2006 I was Deputy Executive Secretary of ANPEC (Association of the Brazilian Post Graduate in Economics). In 2014 I was a visiting researcher at the Land Economy Department and Downing College at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Between August 2015 and July 2018, I was Alternate Executive Director for Brazil and Suriname at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, DC, United States. I graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1988), obtained my master's degree from the State University of Campinas (1994) and Ph.D at the New School for Social Research, New York, USA (2001), all in Economics.
